SunArc — Privacy Policy

SunArc is designed to work without creating user accounts or collecting personal data.
Location
SunArc requests your device's location only to calculate and display the position of the sun relative to your current location.
Your location is processed on your device and is not stored or transmitted to our servers. The one exception is address search, described below.
Map tiles
SunArc loads map tiles from MapTiler.
When requesting map tiles, your device communicates directly with MapTiler. Their privacy policy applies to those requests: https://www.maptiler.com/privacy-policy/
Address search
When you use address search, the text you type and your current position (used to rank nearby results first) are sent directly from your device to MapTiler's geocoding service. We do not receive or store them. SunArc does not keep a search history. MapTiler's privacy policy applies to those requests: https://www.maptiler.com/privacy-policy/
Purchases
ShadeCheck's extra features are a one-time in-app purchase, processed by Google Play or the App Store. To check what you own, SunArc uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase status. No name, email address or account is involved. Analytics
SunArc does not use analytics.
Advertising
SunArc does not display advertisements.
Accounts
SunArc does not require an account.
Data storage
SunArc does not store personal information on external servers. A few preferences, such as which first-use tips you have already seen, are saved on your device only and are never transmitted.
