Questions worth answering honestly

How accurate are SunArc's shadows?

Sun position comes from standard solar-position math for your exact location and time. Building shadows use real height data from map tiles. Buildings without usable height data are skipped rather than guessed at. It's a solid tool for planning and scouting, not a substitute for a certified site survey.

Can I use it to plan solar panels?

Switch the season control to midwinter and set the floor level to the roof or balcony you're considering. That's the worst-case sun angle it will ever see. Partial shade cuts panel output more than its size suggests, so this is a fast way to rule a spot out, or confirm it, before you commit to an installer's quote.
